About the Author
I am a sophomore secondary education major at Grand View University. I put this site together as part of an assignment for a class on Educational Media. The goal of this site is to help viewers answer the question, "Are virtual schools a better option than traditional classrooms."

Designing this website has taught me a lot about education and the use of media. It has shown me that there are many different people in the world, all of whom have very different opinions. Working on this task forced me to do thorough research. I sifted through dozens of articles and hundreds of pages of material in order to help readers answer the question, "Are virtual schools a better option than traditional classrooms."
While researching, I picked only the most concise and relevant information. I did this using EBSCOhost. I used the "refine your search" option on the left hand side of the screen to narrow my results. I then carefully examined each article, pulling out the most important information. I saved my journals using diigo. This helped me to categorize and view my information in an organized way.
When searching for helpful websites, I looked for sites that were relevant to my topic, user-friendly, and valid. I checked for validity by researching the author of each website that I used. I also looked for websites that provided both opinions on my issue. This helped to keep me balanced in my research.
Eventually, I narrowed down all of my research based on the rubric that I was presented. This helped me to organize my ideas and give readers the best experience. Designing this website was fun and taught me a lot about the interworking of educational media.
